I know it was 2 years ago but did everyone forget that there were so many people dying of covid that hospitals had no where to store them? Do people really want to go back to that?

When I said “you” I was referring to a general person making these types of choices, not you specifically.

I’m glad you’re fully vaccinated, I hope you and yours stay safe during the rest of this pandemic, however long it is.

That’s not how this works. Take seatbelts. If seatbelts don’t prevent people from dying they’re worthless. In fact, did you know that most people who die in car accidents were wearing their seatbelt.

The vaccine is primarily to stop hospitalization and death. Stopping transmission will likely be a more difficult task.

As far as the Canadian numbers go, of course the majority of new cases are vaccinated, it’s a much larger portion of the population, 80%!

Didn’t say it would be easy, but you can do it. You can choose to home school your children and not vaccinate them against measles, but you’re not forced to vaccinate.

You could get a job where you work from home, order food to be delivered. It isn’t easy, but it’s possible.

Unfortunately, in this case others’ decisions effect more than just themselves. This is why it’s called public health and not personal health.

Part of the reason the deaths are distributed the way they are in Canada is because of the high vaccination rate.

No one is being forced certain activities will just require it. Kids can’t go to school without being vaccinated against measles but they’re not forced.

I’m not sure how it’s experimental it went through the same process as any other vaccine. It was never meant to stop someone from getting covid, it was to stop hospitalization and death.
